A Netflix button is a physical button on some remote controls that is used to open the Netflix streaming application on a smart TV, Blu-ray player, game console or digital media player (such as Roku).
The implementation of the Netflix button was first announced in 2011. It was first added to remote controls in the United States, but was later added to devices sold in Europe in 2015.
