Spirit Riding is an animated series based on the 2002 Oscar- nominated film, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron . The series is produced by DreamWorks Animation Television and distributed by Netflix . [5] Six episodes of the first season premiered on May 5, 2017. [3]
Plot
In the small town of Miradero, Oregon, a 12-year-old [2] girl named Lucky, who had recently relocated from the city, named Wild Spirit. Spirit, (the offspring of the main protagonists from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron , Spirit and Rain), is caught by wranglers and brought to be “broken” in Miradeo. Lucky gradually bonds with the stallion, and breaks him free. Lucky also meets two other girls, Prudence and Abigail, who both own horses, Chica Linda, a palomino, and Boomerang, a paint horse. They embark on everyday adventures across the land.
