Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later is an upcoming satirical comedy web television series written by David Wain and Michael Showalter , and directed by Wain. The Netflix series is a sequel to 2001 movie Both Wain’s Wet Hot American Summer , and the 2015 prequel television series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp . [1] The series will consist of eight episodes, and is scheduled to be released on August 4, 2017. [2]
According to Showalter, the show will be set in 1991 in both the New York City and St. Elmo’s Fire , Singles , and The Big Chill as inspirations. [3]
