First They Killed My Father is a 2017 American biographical historical thriller movie directed by Angelina Jolie and Jolie and written by Loung Ung , is based Ung’s memoir of same name . It will be released on Netflix .
Production
On July 23, 2015, it was announced that Angelina Jolie would next direct a film adaptation of the memoir First They Killed My Father by Loung Ung for Netflix , for which Jolie and Ung wrote the script. [1] Jolie would also produce the film along with Rithy Panh , while Jolie’s Maddox Jolie-Pitt would also be involved in the production. [1]
Filming
Main photography on the film begins in early February 2016 in Battambang , Cambodia . [2] Filming was scheduled to begin in early November 2015 in Siem Reap . [3]Filming will also be done in Phnom Penh . [4]
